Emily Wright displays her winning medal from the FIS Giant Slalom race at Snowbasin, UT, USA in February 2010.
She scored a 61.76 point race result on the day. Emily has attended training overseas for a number of years, the last 2 with Park City Ski Team, accompanied there with Coach Colleen Jamieson.
As Emily enters her 2nd season as an FIS athlete, this was a great conclusion to her summer training block.
Well done Emily and good luck for the NZ 2010 season!

This year 5 of the 10 attending athletes, selected to represented New Zealand at the Whistler Cup International FIS Childrens Event in Canada were from Team Hutt. This is, for most of them, their first taste of ski racing on an international stage, outside of NZ. Attending athletes from Team Hutt included: Sam Bushell, Nick Gemmell, James O'Donoghue, Anastasia Morrison, and Eliza Grigg. (Mostly Sporting their Snow Vision Beanies!) Team Hutt Alpine Race Team 2010
Team Hutt is run by Canterbury Alpine Sports Trust (CAST), an incorporated legal entity formed as link between the Mount Hutt Ski Club and Mt Hutt Ski Area. Team Hutt was created to give Canterbury Skifields a consolidated Ski Racing Powerbase by pooling resources. Our goal is to provide the best Alpine Ski Racing programme available.
